Amazing, but much like the Shas'ui K'yen variant, accurate to a fault, and unfortunately lacking in the accessories department.

Let me start off by saying that JoyToy absolutely hit the ball out of the park with these Tau Crisis Battlesuit figures, as not only are the detailing, coloring, and sculpting amazing on these figures, but their joints are very easy to pose and always hold even the most extreme of positions, and the feet cups JoyToy designed to enable posing them without the use of their included stand work wonderfully without being too distracting visually.

Unfortunately, much like the Shas'ui K'yen version, the Shas'vre Tash'lor is so accurate to Games Workshop's original heroic-scale Tau Crisis Battlesuit mini that it inherits all the same faults of the original minis, those being that the jetpack prevents the legs from being bent back all that far, the calf armor piece prevents the knees from bending in that much, and the pauldron on the left arm prevents that arm from being rotated up much due to hitting into the jetpack's intake. The original sprue for GW's Crisis Battlesuit minis came with alternate parts such as a pauldron with the top third or so cut away to allow more dynamic posing. Obviously, that's a solution that's not viable for 1:18-scale plastic figures, ad as all these flaws are the fault of GW's designers and not of anyone at JoyToy, I still give it a 5/5.

As the Shas'vre Tash'lor is very similar to the Shas'ui K'yen in its overall quality, with the former having better coloring in my opinion, I'm going to skip to the negatives now for the sake of brevity. If you want to read more about the positives of the Shas'vre Tash'lor, you can read my lengthy Shas'ui K'yen review.

As for negatives, the Shas'vre Tash'lor has the same problem as the Shas'ui K'yen, but to a worse degree, and that is the notable lack of accessories, as unlike the Shas'ui K'yen which comes with two weapons and a support system, the Shas'vre Tash'lor only comes with one weapon and one support system, which does leave it feeling kind of wanting. On one hand, this is because JoyToy decided to or was mandated by contract to stick very closely to the designs of the two most iconic Crisis Battlesuit designs GW displays on their website, but on the other, this does miss out on the customizability that makes the Tau Battlesuit minis so fun on the tabletop. While this issue isn't too bad for Crisis Battlesuits, if or rather when JoyToy decides to release any more or larger Battlesuits such as the commander suits (Coldstar and Enforcer) or the Riptide, I think it would be a huge let down if they didn't come with any extra weapons or support systems, or maybe even a few drones, as those two types of Battlesuits are particularly known for their customizability.

Oh well, it's still a great figure, even with its flaws. You can tell because I bought both of them.

A figure I've yet to open, but even from the box photos, it looks amazing. And properly big compared to the standard Tau figures. Great stuff! CTC service was fast and reliable as usual.

Even if I wanted to collect SM as I know them for a very long time (in decades :), Tau have my preference in game. It was unthinkable I don't have them all. I still need to keep the other Crisis model but this one is so impressive, so big, it's a masterclass and must have ! Bery nice realisation from Joytoy. As always, shipping from CTC is very fast and mails inform you very well. Thank you again to the team !
